Welcome to another creepy edition of X-Men on Monday at X-Fans, AIPT!
“Spirited?” This is our annual Valentine’s Day special, so I meant romantic! Kick-off in 2022, the X-Men Monday Valentine’s Special Special quickly became one of my favorite column traditions as the annual editions became increasingly unrelated. If you missed them, look for yourself!
But all of them took place in the first Krakoa era – we are in the “from the ashes” era. This means a whole new, completely different Xoffice ready to reveal the grinding of secret mutants. Let’s see what they have to say.
AIPT: Welcome, everyone, and Happy Valentine’s Day! First of all, in your opinion, what is the biggest X-romance ever?
David Pepose: Redd and Slym. They are love beyond time – they raised children and fought the apocalypse on the honeymoon range! I love the adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix. Because it was a very clever way to solidify Scott and Jean’s relationship in such a short time.

Tom Brevoort: I really want to say Scott and Jean, but I think we all know it’s Magneto and himself.
Jason Lu: Dazzler and long shot. Their love endured time and the trials of the Multivers (616 and MoJoverse).
Stephanie Phillips: Rogue and Gambit (sorry, Jan Fan…but it’s so heartbreakingly romantic that you can’t touch the person you love the most).
Erica Schultz: Rogue and Gambit. I’ll tell you. Anna Marie and Remy have their ups, downs and all around, but they’ve been making it work. They have a love that transcends a diverse time warp or chaotic cosmic cosmos. And I’ve said this before, but my husband and I had gambit and rogue action figures on our wedding cake, so they were especially special in our hearts We share locations.

Ashley Allen: So we wouldn’t be here without the most troublesome divorce in the Xavier and Magneto world. #1 Chaos Duo. Great job, everyone.
But seriously, Rogue and Gambit hold a special place in my heart. They essentially understand each other, and in the world of X-drama, their dynamic always holds a special place in my heart.
Murewa Ayodere: Prof. Charles Xavier and Magneto. At this point, most of the X-Men stories and struggles are merely the product of everyone being dragged into a lover’s altercation. They really should get a room – Gene Gray, Scott Summers and Logan had it on the moon. One of these days, they’ll kiss, the book will say “end”. X-Men books will no longer be published. And then we, that’s what it’s all built up.

AIPT: Who is Marvel’s most romantic mutants?
Murewa: It’s called Gambit. Many mutant heroes sacrifice anything to save the world, including their relationships. Many mutant villains will do the same with valuable goals. But Gambit should not forget to burn the world for the woman he loves and still keep flowers. He wears affection on his sleeves and is not afraid to express his emotions. I think he is the most romantic mutant.

Erica: #1: Remy Lebaud can charm anyone, anywhere on this planet or next planet, anytime. Canon goes back and forth between whether this is due to the power of the mutant, but it’s Remy… certainly.
#2: Logan. Why Logan? Think about all the literal heartbreak he had. Still, he is still trying to find love. If it’s not romantic, what?
David: Wolverine. He is the best thing he does, and what he does is exude unrequited longing.

Ashley: Kurt Wagner, my sweet boy. He is very considerate in his actions and gestures. In other words, come on. He built a greenhouse for the storm when she lost her home. How cute can you get?
Tom: It’s a beast. It must be a pheromone. What’s more, its fur is silky soft.
AIPT: There are many X-Men characters, but which X-Characters do you limit the romantic possibilities?
Jason: Jubilee. I want to see her let her spark fly for some serious connections.
David: Cable, of course – this week we only saw some of what happens in Cable: Love & Chrome #2!

Erika: That’s difficult. Because what is romantic for one person is whimsical for another. If Laura takes a little time from the mission, I think she could probably have a romantic streak… Electra might give her pointer, but Electra’s love life is a completely different story is.
Ashley: Magick! It wasn’t part of her story based on her past, but Ilyana is able to take her emotionally to a place and is ready to accept some of those connections. It will be a perfect moment. .
Tom: You can choose one of the new mutants that we’ve introduced over the past few months.
Murewa: Doop. why? Because doop is doop.

aipt: Play Multi-Beversal Match Maker! Pair the X-Character with characters from the non-Marvel franchise. Who do you ship?
Tom: The temper and my hero academia rodo doroki is just too obvious.
Erika: I think Shayera Hol and Logan will make a good pair. They both give and smack be and are very protected. Also, Shayera is a redhead. You know how Logan feels about redheads…
David: Phoenix and Captain Planet. He is the only person who can catch up!

Murewa: I shipped Maggot from the X-Men along with the Arm Fall Off Boy from DC Comics and saw how bodied the horror body gets me with their dates.

Ashley: Hmm, maybe Emma Frost and Bruce Wayne. You can see the vision, right? But definitely not that Batman guy. gross.
Stephanie: Emma Frost and Nick Miller from New Girls. The whole atmosphere of the relationship is based on Nick saying, “Stop being mean to me, or stop swearing I’m going to fall in love with you.” But Emma didn’t stop being mean.

Jason: Grove and Padma Lakshmi. Maybe just like Padma’s top chef co-host blushing gloves and whimpering throughout the show.
aipt: Okay, finally, who is your secret mutant crash? Don’t worry, we won’t tell them.
Stephanie: Magick… the devil… the big sword… still be my heart.

David: Shirin. That’s an accent.
Murewa: Technically, he’s not a mutant, he’s a character from the X-Men franchise. My secret crash is Ritawayword (aka Spiral). There’s something about the tall warrior chick with six arms.
Jason: Monet St. Croix. Yeah, I know she is waaaaaaaay out of my league.
Erika: Have I not said his name enough? Remy Lebeau!
Ashley: Eek should not tell anyone or anyone. *Runs from Rogue*
Tom: Ember.
