X-Men holds the Krakoa monument at Hellfire Vigil One-Shot

Among the X-Men’s beloved Kracoa era favorites were the annual Hellfire Gala. This is the storyline of all X-Books that marks the huge event of Marvel’s “Merry Mutants.” The event was so popular that actual live in person Hellfire Gala took place at San Diego Comic Con. Sadly, the Krakoa era was a past, and fans also thought it was Hellfire Gala. However, from the ashes, Marvel has announced a special X-Men: Hellfire Vigil One-Shot.

This huge-sized one-shot is available in July this year, written and drawn by current creators of X-Line, including Jed Mackay (X-Men), Gail Simone (The Mysterious X-Men), Eve L. Ewing (The Exceptional X-Men), Luciano Vecchio (The Mysterious X-Men, Storm), Javiergarn (The Javier X-Men), Sarapanten and more. This issue features a cover drawn by Luciano Vecchio, aka Mateus Manhanini, by the UT cover.

Here’s how a publisher explains a one-shot:

The annual gathering will be another note this time, with mutant kinds gathering to look back at the loss of mutant cratea. As they look back, they govern their hope for the future, and readers look forward to a fun celebration, delicious drama and of course superhero high fashion night! Like the previous Hellfire Galas, the charming party is filled with reunions, returns and revelations, setting the stage for the year after X-Men storytelling! One of the most talked about comics this year, Hellfire Gala is now a beloved staple of X-Men Mythos and is inspiring a new season of the hit video game Marvel Rivals.

A year ago, at the last Hellfire Gala, the dream of a unified mutant nation was shattered forever by a cowardly sneak attack by the anti-Califan army. It’s time for all striped X-Men to be together in solidarity and celebration, to mark that moment and loudly declare to everyone who is worried that Mutantkind is still standing. Featuring the meetings and moments fans have been sought after since they started with Ashes, you’re there in Keystone moments that mark the movements of one era in the next and set up a story thread that unfolds across X-Line in the near future!

Executive Editor Tom Breboat explained in detail:

“We’ve been working towards Hellfire Vigil for a year now, and all of the different X-Creators came together to make this a crucial moment for X-Men and their world as a whole,” explained Executive Editor Tom Brevoort. “If you’re wondering if someone will meet someone else, here’s the answer to this book: it’s a mass of events that start with ashes and set up the main movements that will be played in the coming months.
