The plaintiffs claim the boycott violates federal antitrust laws and are seeking a jury trial to resolve the matter. GARM also announced its discontinuation two days after X filed the lawsuit.
The joint lawsuit, first filed by Company X in August, also includes WFA, global food manufacturer Mars Incorporated, drugstore chain CVS, and Danish energy company Ørsted A/S over an advertising boycott.
