The Comic-Con Museum, faithfully to its name, features an exhibit that salt-worthy nerds must check out. When I went in 2022, the museum had a “Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing” exhibit dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Web-Slinger. This year, it featured The Boting at the Doctor Who: Worlds of Wonder exhibition.

In addition to documenting the various incarnations of the doctor and his/her tools (including the Sonic Driver), Doctor Who: World of Wonder features an entire hall dedicated to the doctor’s enemy. Dalek, Cybermen, Crying Angels: All of them are on display, and rather scared by the nearby. Scattered throughout are replicas of Tardis and their inner workings. “Doctor Who: Worlds of Wonder” is also dedicated to the science behind Doctor Who, with a range of exhibits exploring advances in science and space travel, exploring videos of real physicists breaking down the possibilities of time travel.

There was a lot to see at the top and bottom of the museum. At the top level there is an entire exhibit dedicated to Mexican mask wrestling. The championship belts and masks, including those from the fan-made, were fully on display, and even had the artwork of the power bombs from Daniel Warren Johnson’s masterpiece! Exhibition. At a lower level, the Tokidoki toy collection was on display, including a collaboration between Marvel and Hello Kitty. Finally, there is a dedication to Luan, Greg Evans’ classic comic strip, turning 40 this year.

It wasn’t just the science fiction franchises represented by Con. The Star Wars: Echoes of the Galaxy Auction was given a spotlight. On Sunday, Julian’s auction and Turner’s classic film auctions Star Wars movie props, including the Star Wars Luke Skywalker lightsabers: Jedi Return. It was a chance to see literal history and I’m glad I attended. We also advise fans to check out the Comic-Con Museum even if they are unable to participate in Comic-Con. You can see the history of real nerds and they will hand out free comics!

Tickets for the Comic-Con Museum can be purchased here. See all SDCC 2025 coverage.
