The next volume of the isekai manga series that inspired Crunchyroll’s hit anime series is scheduled to hit bookstores next month. Working for God in a Godless World Volume 4 will be published by Titan Manga, an imprint of manga specialist Titan Comics, on November 18, 2025, and will retail for $12.99.
Titan Manga first announced in 2024 that it had licensed the otherworld series Working for God in a Godless World. This story, written by Aoi Akagi (Welcome to the Classroom of Merit) and illustrated by Hisashi Son, is about working for a god in a godless world. Yukito Urabe, a young man whose cult leader father sacrifices himself to the god Mitama, hopes to be reborn as the next leader. Just before he drowned, Yukito prayed to be reborn in a world without religion, but his wish was unexpectedly granted. However, just as he is getting used to his new life, Mitama reappears and declares himself to be the only god of this new world.

In Working For God in a Godless World, Volume 4, the stakes are higher than ever as Yukito and the divine Mitama face increasingly formidable challenges. Dakini are powerful figures with many followers, but they are a serious threat due to an evil religion centered around greed and corruption. Meanwhile, Mitama’s decline in influence is exacerbated by her followers’ increasing devotion to Attar, weakening Mitama.
As the pressure mounts, Yukito uses his acting skills to overcome complex and dangerous situations, turning adversity into opportunity. His wit and Mitama’s divine abilities are an iconic combination, as seen in Crunchyroll’s popular 12-part animated adaptation.
Fans of isekai manga with a divine twist will find this series particularly appealing. The stunning art by Sun Shang Banyue brings both the desolate landscape and Mitama’s divine powers to life, creating a visually captivating experience and reinforcing the manga’s unique take on the genre.
Created by Aoi Akagi, known for her work on Welcome to the Classroom of Merit and Tokyo Mirage Session #FE, this volume continues to deliver the complex character dynamics and thrilling storytelling that fans love. The fourth installment in a seven-volume series promises even more drama and divine challenges.
In the US, you can now pre-order Volume 4 of Working For God in a Godless World from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million. You can pre-order it in the UK and Europe on Forbidden Planet.
