DC Comics has revealed that a new six-issue series, Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over, will arrive in comic shops this April. Written by Joanne Starer with Art with Stephen Byrne, the series takes away all the specials from Absolute Power and all DC events.
“The last series of Fire and Ice, ‘Welcome Welcome Welcome to Smallville,’ really focused on women wondering how their friendships worked when they weren’t saving the world,” the starrer said. Said. With this new series, I wanted to showcase how well Bea and Tora understand each other and how strong they are when they work together. ”
So what is fire and ice: when hell freezes over?
Their powers are switched, there’s no resolution in sight, there’s fire, Tuck’s tail of ice and Smallville regrouping. They realize that their predicament makes them worse than the has-been heroes. But no matter how shortsighted, fire always has a plan! And when she goes digging through Zatanna’s bag of tricks for a quick fix in the middle of a karaoke night…what can go wrong? You know everything except. Also.
“The girls accidentally swap bodies to try to fix the power mix-up that happened during Absolute Power,” Starr continued. “This Freaky Friday situation might be confusing if not for Stephen Byrne’s amazing art. He has created some incredibly fun and unique new character designs. Body Swap’s The chaos will be a lot of fun for readers, but not for Bea and Thora.”
