Get ready for blood, beasts, brutal battles. The month that comes from the image comic has arrived in September this year. Eisner Award-winning author Joe Pruett (voice in my head, cable) joins forces with acclaimed artist Marcelo Fulsin (Hellblazer, Loveless) for a five-island horror miniseries that combines Norse mythology with supernatural horror.
Set in 1003, Viking Moon begins with Rayf Erickson’s legendary expedition to North America, where his settlement in Vineland (modern Newfoundland) encounters an indescribable fate. Now, 20 years from now, a new group of Vikings led by fierce warrior Wolf will face the same horrifying threat: werewolves. What begins as a quest to regain lost land turns into a nightmare of survival for creatures walking the line between humans and monsters.
“This is a story I wanted to tell, but I knew I needed the right artist and I found it at Marcelo,” Pruett said. “He’s doing the best job of his career here. I think Howling will meet the Vikings via M. Night Shyamalan. It’s a wild ride full of twists, horrors and bloody action.”
Flushin quickly became engrossed. “As soon as Joe pitched me Viking Moon. Viking vs Werewolf – can we hope for more? The world we are building is visually rich and terrifying.
