Webtoon Entertainment has announced a major new partnership with Boom! The studio brings some of the fans’ popular comics, including something from James Tynion IV killing kids, for the first time, to become a digital platform in vertical scrolling format.

Along with those killing children, readers look forward to Wynd, Fence and Lumberjanes arriving on the Webtoon. This collaboration will make Webtoon an exclusive home for these hit titles WebComic Edition.

“Webtoon connects fans around the world with some of the best storytelling in cartoons,” said Yongsoo Kim, Chief Strategy Officer and Officer of Global Webtoon. “Boom!” catalogue has gained recognition from fans and industry experts. We are excited to bring a genre-defining series that is killing new audiences something like modern classics and genre-defining series.”

boom! Studio President Jen Harnes reflects his enthusiasm, noting that Webtoon’s unique reading experience opens doors for new and existing fans. “Boom! Studios is always looking for more ways to reach our readers. The Webtoon platform offers a great opportunity to experience our content,” she said.

Behind something, the Glaad and Eisner Award-winning Tynion expressed excitement about killing children, killing Wynd and reintroducing his work in a new form. “It’s incredible to see if something is killing kids or if Wind is connected to the fans. I want to see them in vertical scrolls and am grateful for the opportunity to bring them to new readers.”

boom! The titles that come to Webtoon are as follows:

Something Kills Children – The Eisner Award-winning Horror Comic about the Missing Children of Archer Peak sells over 5 million copies.

Wynd – A fantasy adventure about a boy with magical blood from Tynion and artist Michael Dialynas.

Fence – A sports drama that has expanded into a competitive world of fencing, following young fencer Nicholas Cox.

Lumberjanes – The Eisner and Glaad award-winning series about five friends at the summer camp faces a supernatural adventure together.

The launch date for the series will be announced later. Fans can also learn more about the partnership at Webtoon and Boom’s New York Comics Con 2025. The studio will hold a joint panel on Saturday, October 11th, entitled “Legends Reborn: Iconic Comics, New Adventures on Webtoon.”
