Marvel Comics has released a trailer for the new Iron Man series, which hits shelves on October 23rd. Written by Spencer Ackerman and illustrated by Julius Ohta, the series promises to be awesome. Listen to my exclusive conversation with Ackerman on the AIPT Comics Podcast to hear what I mean:
So, what kind of movie is Iron Man (2024)?
Roxxon and AIM team up to take on Stark Unlimited! But they must prepare for the old Tony Stark. This time? Angrier than ever. Iron Man steps into the fight! He’s determined not to let himself fall to rock bottom again. His old foes will face off against Iron Man, who is fighting back, resorting to dirty tactics and using his intellect to defeat his foes!
When his best tech no longer works, Tony puts together a new armor, which you can see in action in the new trailer. Dubbed the “instant Iron Man,” the armor is put together with Tony’s signature modifications and upgrades and will be shown to readers throughout the series as he takes on whatever threat the world can throw at him.

NEW YORK, NY — September 6, 2024 — Marvel’s Armored Avenger’s epic new saga kicks off in October with Iron Man, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Spencer Ackerman (Reign of Terror, DC’s Waller vs. Wildstorm) in his Marvel debut, illustrated by up-and-coming Julius Ohta (Helverine, Alien) and colored by Alex Sinclair. Today, fans can get a sneak peek at Tony Stark’s upcoming adventures in a new Iron Man #1 trailer featuring never-before-seen artwork.
Roxxon and AIM team up to take on Stark Unlimited! But they’re preparing for the old Tony Stark. This time? Much angrier than before. Iron Man goes to war! He’s determined not to hit rock bottom again. His old foes will fight back, resort to dirty tactics, and face off against an Iron Man willing to unleash all of his intelligence to defeat them! When his best tech no longer works, Tony puts together a brand new armor that you can see in action in the new trailer! Called the “instant Iron Man,” readers will watch as the armor is put together throughout the series. Tony uses his skills to modify and upgrade it to withstand anything the world throws at him.
“Tony’s in full survival mode from the beginning, right down to the armor that Iron Man wears,” Ackerman explained in a recent interview with ComicBook.com. “The stakes start off really high and then they escalate from there. A big theme in this series is scale — the pursuit of scale, the maintenance of scale, the cost of it. We’ve seen Tony cross some very serious moral lines in the past, and now we’re going to expand on that.”
