Viz’s Summer 2025 Manga Release Will Include Steel Ball Run, Ultraman, Spider-Man Crossover

Viz Media has a ton of new releases on its summer 2025 release calendar, including the announcement of the long-awaited JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run and some fun surprises like Rai Rai We decided it was time to surprise manga fans by throwing in a title. Rai, Cosmos, and popular works of Weekly Shonen Jump such as “Nue no Exorcist” and “Kill Blue.” Viz made a total of 22 announcements, 17 of which were announced as physical releases and 5 as digital exclusives. Before I spoil everything that was announced, let me explain the rest of the announcement.

Tokyo Horror Rhapsody

Series by Akira Sugito (“Momo the Blood Taker”)

Hachiro, a powerful monster, just wants to eat human sweets in peace, but between fighting brutal enemies and escaping his mad scientist creator, life is never quiet.

Trumpet Call: War Song

Dr. Stone, Vol. 27

In this standalone epilogue story set after the events of Dr. Stone, Senku and friends are close to creating a time machine when they receive an anonymous transmission from the future. What is the reason behind it?

That’s all for Viz Media’s fall manga licensing event. All of these announced titles are scheduled for release in summer 2025.

The response from the manga community to these announcements seems to have been overwhelmingly positive, especially the announcement of the long-awaited “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run”. Other titles like “Not So Shoujo Love Story” and “Ultraman: Around Came a Spider-Man” also seem to have garnered quite a bit of attention and excitement.

Personally, I’m looking forward to Weekly Shonen Jump’s latest works “Astro Royale,” “Kill Blue,” and “Nue no Exorcist.”
