Vigilante/eagly double function! #1 Review

Peacemaker is one of those series that should not work, but it should definitely work. Chalked James Gunn, the Suicide Squad work established the foundation for exploring Christopher Smith. With Peacemaker currently preparing for a second season, DC has decided to remind people that they are potentially missing out on Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature #1.

True to its title, the comic features two separate stories. The first “Fables Time” is falsely characterized as misconceptions of a fellow Peacemaker murder hero and self-proclaimed BFF vigilantes as falsely assuming them. Later, on a “peaceful holiday,” Peacemaker and Eaglee attempt to go on a holiday. Of course, things go well.

Of the two stories, “F Talk Time” claims to be a stronger entry due to the unlikely but incredible pairing of Tim Seeley and Mitch Gerad. Seeley’s script is full of off-colour, random humor that made the vigilantes stand out in Peacemaker (also helped by the fact that Gunn served as a story consultant). The photorealistic style of the Gerads makes me feel like I’m watching (or rather reading) the lost episodes of Peacemaker. The best part happens when the vigilantes face two enforcers, Cannon and Saber. With six panels, Gerald makes contact with the vigilantes, exacerbated due to wear, changing the red, blue and white background.

DC

In contrast, Rex Ogle and Matteo Lolli take quite a while to set up a “peaceful vacation.” Certainly, Ogle’s script is funny and funny, and Lolli’s artwork is very eye-catching as to how it feels. I hoped it would have delved into the battle between Peacemaker and the Nazi lizard in the first place. That’s kind of absurdity that I love in manga.

Peacemaker fans are happy to know what Peacemaker is presenting. Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature #1 is a DC Black Label book, so it’s full of bloody violence and off-colour language that existed on the show. More and more, it feels like black labels are finally starting to be used within that range. At the very least, it focuses on characters that aren’t Batman.

Peacemaker Presents: Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature #1 provides all the bloody mess and humor you’ll expect from Peacemaker while building a new universe for DC Studios. If you’re still waiting for Peacemaker Season 2 to drop, this manga will definitely play you.

Just like the Peacemaker series, Bloody and Preperane matches the black label specification.

Seeley and Gerads are match-made in heaven, offering stories of wild vigilantes worth the price of the cover.

James Gunn’s input helps make this feel like it’s really happening in the world of peace directors.

Eaglee Story feels like a set-up.
