Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature #1

Story: James Gunn
Author: Tim Shealy
Artist: Mitch Gerads
Release date: March 26, 2025

Today, DC has revealed artwork and covers for the Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double feature! This 5th issue of DC Black Label Limited series is inspired by the visionary Peacemaker series on Max by James Gunn at DC Studios, and features two original stories.

Gunn is a story consultant for the series and will make his debut at the comic book shop and digital retailer participating on March 26th.

On “Peace Holiday,” writers Rex Ogle and artists Matteo Lori and John Charis take Eaglee and Chris Smith (aka Peacemaker) into the incredible outdoors of Alaska, seeking relaxation from mitigating peace with their own excesses. However, when their trip is interrupted by a group of masked hijackers (and annoying flight attendants), it reaches a certain eagle and his pet human who saves the day.

Unfortunately, Peacemaker has forgotten to talk to his fellow vigilantes about his vacation plans, and now the vigilantes means great trouble for the Evergreen criminals, rich in knives, shafts and gores. “A Time for Fables” is written by Tim Seeley and features art by Mitch Gerads. Each issue of the series includes a vigilante diary entry on “How to Become a Superhero,” written by Fredristroma, who portrayed characters from the Max series.

Gerads also offers the main cover of their debut issue, with variant covers by some of the comic’s top artists, including Darick Robertson, Matteo Lolli and Dan Panosian. The main cover of the Gerads can also be used as a foil variant.
