The world of dungeon crawler curls is about to level up.

Vault Comics is the first-ever original graphic novel set in the Dungeon Crawler Curl Universe, collaborating with series creator Matt Diniman, author Michael Moresi and artist Brett Bean. This fast-paced, full-length storyline is 100% Canon and for now we present new fan favorite characters whose identity is firmly held under the rap.

Fans will have to wait until September 15th for the big character to be released, but Backerkit Pre-Launch Page is currently live and offers exclusive bullying, early concept art, launch party invitations, campaign reward previews and fan-driven stretch goals when the full campaign drops on October 1st, 2025.

Set during the brutal and strange first level of the world dungeon, graphics novels can navigate deadly alien game shows, along with favorites, vicious monsters and absurd challenges, for the entertainment of galaxy viewers.

“This has already been shaped into a surprising, overabundance of stories,” Diniman said. “I can’t wait for you to get your hands and eyes.”

Bean said, “I can draw all the mayhem, blood, laughter along the way. That means I can’t wait to show you what the doughnuts and other crawlers are doing!”

“I was a huge fan of Dungeon Crawler Curls, but long before I was asked to contribute,” Moresi said. “What Brett, Matt and the whole team have in store is something that DCC followers love.”

Dungeon Crawler Carl has sold over a million copies, making it one of the most beloved series in the Litrpg space. The book follows Carl, a Coast Guard veterinarian, and his ex-girlfriend, the Donut Princess, the cat. Earlier this year it was announced that Universal International Studios and Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door are developing live-action television adaptations.

Stay tuned, this is just the beginning of a whole new crawl.
