Manga and art book publisher UDON Entertainment announced on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, that it will release Rockman Adventure Volume 1 – Deluxe Edition Hardcover, a collection of Archie Comics’ Rockman series, in partnership with crowdfunding platform Zoop. This is a collection of Archie Comics’ Mega Man series by Ian Flynn, who also served as the lead writer for the same publisher’s Sonic the Hedgehog comic (in fact, both of Flynn’s video game adaptations were so popular among readers that Archie published two books in the Mega Man and Sonic crossover series, titled Worlds Collide and Worlds Unite, respectively). At the time of publishing this article, UDON has not yet revealed the start date of the crowdfunding campaign.
Based on Capcom’s series of the same name (known as Mega Man in Japan), Archie Comics announced Flynn’s Mega Man series at New York Comic-Con 2010, which began publishing the following year in April 2011 and ran until 2015. Although this adaptation does not exactly follow the events of the game, the basic premise is the same. Set on Earth in the not-too-distant future, where robots can think and act for themselves, Mega Man Adventure follows the rise of a new type of hero. When the brilliant but twisted Dr. Wily launches a campaign of world domination using a powerful robot master, Locke, a humble helper robot created by Wily’s old colleagues, volunteers to transform into a combat robot and becomes Mega Man, a techno golem designed to stand up to Wily’s mechanical army and protect humanity.

With the exclusive Deluxe Edition, Blue Bomber fans can relive Rock’s thrilling origin story as an ordinary helper robot who stands up for justice and becomes the legendary Mega Man. This collection brings together fan-favorite Mega Man issues #1 through #12, featuring Rock’s first battle with the Robot Master and his unforgettable showdown with Dr. Wily. That’s not all. This edition includes a new seven-page story by Flynn and Ryan Jean-Paul, an exclusive foil cover treatment, nine trading cards, and a special fold-out poster.
“UDON has been working with the kind folks at Archie to gather all the materials needed to create these collections and ensure these classic stories look their best,” the publisher says on its website. “Plus, each volume will include all-new short stories set in this classic world, produced by the creators who worked on these original stories! More details about these epic new collections, including release dates and issue lineups, coming soon. Stay tuned!”
