Two years later, on December 3rd, it’s a special one-shot hit stand from writers Dennis Camp and Alex Paknadel, as well as various artists to be announced later. The first issue features a cover drawn by Ryan Stegman.
Official press release below:
Before the Ultimate Endgame begins, we look at the current state of the Ultimate Universe and discover the ultimate secret in the Ultimate Universe. #1 of two years, special one-shot stands from the superstar artists in December, Dennis Camp (Ultimate, Ultimate Endgame), Alex Pacnadel (Amazing X-Men), and Marvel Universe covers.
Like last year’s Ultimate Universe, like one year, the Ultimate Universe: #1, which introduced Nick Fury and revealed the important Intel at the Manufacturers Council, will become an important chapter in the overall Ultimate Universe story. Saga will see the return of the Ultimate Guardians and uncover their key role in the Ultimate Endgame, debuting all new players as the countdown to the manufacturer’s return reaches an explosive end!
All passes lead to endgame!
In preparation for the manufacturer’s return in the Ultimate Endgame, the Ultimate Guardian travels all the way through time and space, recruiting members, old and new… Traveling through every corner of the Ultimate Universe! Don’t miss the dawn of many new characters, including Ultimate Daredevil!
“For me, each of these ultimate year-end specials is an opportunity to reveal more about the history of the universe and set a path for its future,” explained Camp. “The Ultimate Universe: One Year was about the recent past and near future, but the Ultimate Universe. Two Years of Two are more ambitious. We’ll take you from 2000 to 2000 in a future where everything is wrong.
“It’s so much fun in the ultimate universe, especially as you reach the climax. It should be illegal,” Paknadel Safred said. “It’s a license to rethink and reinvent your favorite characters, and Dennis and I certainly did it here. Like all the best versions of these characters, our Daredevil retains the essence of the original.
