Two Superman/Spiderman Crossovers coming from DC and Marvel in 2026

Last month, Marvel Publishing’s Deadpool/Batman #1, the first new crossover between Marvel and DC, over 20 years, was released. DC is set to announce its own meeting between Dark Knight and Merc and Merc in November, and today’s publisher has made it clear that the crossover won’t stop there. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the first DC/Marvel crossover, Superman vs. the astonishing Spider-Man, with the companies marking the opportunity with a new Superman and Spider-Man crossover one-shot, as well as the first two fax editions of the Hero.

First, reprint. The two classic Superman and Spider-Man crossovers have been well-known as the Treasury version, with DC having released many classic Treasury facsimile versions for several years now. January 7th, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Superman’s 50th anniversary. You can see an iconic 1976 one-shot by The Amazing Spider-Man #1, author Jerry Conway, artists Ross Andru, Dick Giordano, Jerry Serpe and Lettaler Gaspar Saladino. DC will follow its release on February 4th with DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spiderman Trejury Edition #1, Faxed Edition of Marvel Rejury Edition #28 from 1981 Author Jim Shooter and Murph Wolfman, artists John Buskema, Joe Sinnott, Terry Auston, Klaus Janson, Bob McClair, Alumam, Simonson, Bob Layton, Breeding, Joe Rubinstein, Bob Weaseck, Greenwich Wine and Joe Rosen of Letterer.

Both stories have been reprinted many times over the years, but the two newly announced facsimile versions are the first time they have been reprinted by the original Ministry of Finance. These releases follow the heels of two Marvel published facsimile editions of the DC/Marvel Crossover Oneshot. Reprint of fan favorite Amalgam Spider Boy Comic: Marvel/DC’s Spider Boy #1 Faxed Edition. Superman vs. Amazing Spiderman fax.

The two reprints will host a new pair of crossover one-shots, Superman/Spiderman #1 published by DC in March and Marvel’s Spiderman/Superman #1 in April. The creative team for either one-shot hasn’t been announced yet, but with New York’s Comic-Con around the corner, information may come sooner than we think. Perhaps each one-shot will also include a similar bonus team to that found in the two Batman and Deadpool crossover, but that’s a speculation at this point. You can probably expect at least 12 variant covers for each.

Find the amazing Spider-Man #1 facsimile edition in store on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 for the 50th anniversary of the Superman edition.
