Writer Torun Gronbake is recently working with artist Patrick Goddard to celebrate the 50th anniversary for a new story in Battle Action, the Rebellion Publishing war comic series. Each issue features an ongoing main storyline by Garth Ennis and Keith Burns, paired with a secondary backup story by another rotating team about fighter pilot Johnny Red.
The story of Gronbekk and Goddard is set to be released in the UK on March 26th and will appear in Combat Action #8, which will be released in the US on April 30th. The story is about Nina Petrova, fighting against Russian (complete story summary below). And today, Beat has the honor of exclusively revealing the artwork of that painting.

Battle Action #8 has two stories filled with fierce combat action! Johnny Red: The hero couple Garth Ennis and Keith Burns have their flying guns loosened with all of their devastating firepower as Johnny takes off on his own final mission. And in Nina Petrova: Lucky Things, writer Torun Gronbeck and artist Patrick Goddard collaborate for a flashback! Nina has to rescue Masha from the field hospital before the German invasion overturns the facility…
