With this crowdfunding roundup, Beat wanted to try something new. What better way to do that than to feature Kickstarter’s annual “Zine Quest” in this week’s Top Picks? Check it out below.

UHF Contact: Modern Horror TTRPG Adventure Collection
Author: M. Allen Hall (Creator/Editor)
Goal: $1,000
End date: February 27, 2026
Bonus: Get a digital copy for $8, a physical copy for $20, and a facilitator bundle for $75.
An analog horror ZINE that struggles to survive!
UHF Contact is a love letter to analog horror, made for tense late-night play. This A5 zine is a collection of three related adventures in liminal horror that take you from a labyrinthine junkyard to a convict prison and ultimately into the fragmented spaces of your own memories. Its structure steadily escalates the horror, whether you’re playing in a group, without a GM, or completely solo using the included tools.
What really seals it is the artwork. David Schillergy’s distorted, bug-eyed, camera-fused monster is deeply unsettling, in a good way. The visuals feel corrupted, invasive and wrong, perfectly in keeping with the nightmarish tone of signal decay. If you want horror that lingers after the screen goes dark, this is worth backing.

Big robots, big emotions RPG
Creator: RiffTrax: Mike, Bill, Kevin
Goal: $588
End date: March 12, 2026
Bonus: Get a digital copy for $10, a print version for $20, a digital RPG bundle for $30, and a digital mecha commission tier for $60.
A mecha anime tabletop role-playing game about big robots piloted by teenagers with even bigger emotions.
Big Robots, Big Feelings is exactly what its title promises: explosive mech action driven solely by the emotional turmoil of a teenager. Step into the cockpit of a giant robot and navigate rivalries, heartbreak, trauma, and high stress in this d6-based RPG. Every action role is fueled by the characters’ emotions and relationships, keeping the drama as focused as laser cannons and energy swords.
Inspired by Gundam, Evangelion, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, the game offers lean mechanics, fast play, and a full-color zine packed with art and starter missions. If you want a high-stakes battle where emotions hit like missiles, this is worth supporting. Really, as a lifelong Neon Genesis fan, this is a convenient return.

Punderworld: Tabletop word game
Author: Twice Roll Tales
Goal: $3,500 goal
End date: February 24, 2026
Bonus: Digital copies are available for $20, print copies are available for $55, retail bundles are available for $100, and the Gluttonous Punishment Tier is available for $125.
A pun game where you play pranks on your friends.
As a forever DM, this is the stuff of nightmares. Punderworld is a tabletop word game where your worst puns are your greatest weapon. Set between the City of Sharp Wit and the chaotic depths of Panderworld, this RPG turns figurative language into the literal. All the action hinges on “wordplay” bending idioms, metaphors, and double meanings until the table groans in approval.
Playable figures of speech, dozens of bizarre locations and characters, and mechanics built entirely around linguistic chaos reward quick thinking and creative risk-taking. If you like games that arm you with clever banter, theatrical GM energy, and vocabulary, Punderworld offers a highly original twist on cooperative storytelling.

A solo journaling slice-of-life TTRPG using Tarot and D6.
Spirit Swap: A Slice of Life TTRPG is a cozy tarot-driven solo journaling game where you start over in a new city and slowly become the witch you were meant to be. Set in the vibrant coastal city of Demashuk, SWANA-inspired worldbuilding, solarpunk warmth, and 2000s charm are blended into an intimate, character-focused experience.
Build friendships, explore your neighborhood, learn spells, and reflect on your growth using tarot cards and a clever match-3 d6 system. It’s tender, magical, and deeply personal. If you like games that have storytelling that feels like a part of everyday life, tactile mechanics, and tabletop lo-fi beats, this is an easy project to support. As someone who is always looking for all-encompassing games to get people hooked on TTRPGS, this one definitely came right back to me.
