The 1982 cult classic science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott, Blade Runner has become part of iconic and beloved pop culture in 40 years since the release of the novel and comics that follow. Titan Comics has released a line of omnibus versions and has so far collected the entire Blade Runner comics.

All three omnibus are set in the Blade Runner World and are based directly on the 1982 film and the 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049, directed by Dennis Villeneuve.

Art by Christian Ward

The first Omnibus collects 12 issues from Blade Runner 2019, and is the entire storyline “Los Angeles”, “Off World”, and “Home Again”. It features Ben Oliver covers and Christian Ward’s direct market variant covers, along with Andres Guinadeau’s artwork written by Michael Green and Mike Johnson.

The first omnibus set in Los Angeles in 2019 focuses on LAPD blade runner and detective Aahna ‘Ash’ Ashina. Aahna ‘Ash’ Ashina. Ash’s search takes her on a journey from the rain-soaked, environmentally damaged, crime-filled lower abdomen of Los Angeles to the promised lands of the world’s colonies, and returns home again as she uncovers a terrible secret and a hopeless plot that forces her to stand up to her own hatred of the Reprikas.

The second Omnibus collects 12 issues from Blade Runner 2029. This is the whole of the story arc’s “reunion”, “echo”, and “red” whole. Written again by Green and Johnson, Guinaldo returns in Art’s Duty, continuing the story of Ash 10 years after the events of the previous series.

Ash returns to Los Angeles and corners the rebels. But this time Ash now has a new agenda where she will become humanity’s enemy if discovered. Ash is drawn into a deadly cat and mouse game with a replicant called Jotun. This is a replica of the Nexus 6 that has extended his four-year lifespan, unlike anything she has faced before. Jotun is the head of the fanatic replicant guerrilla army, leading the rebellion to rule Los Angeles, and only Ash can stop him.

The third and final omnibus collects 12 issues from across Blade Runner 2039, Story Arcs ‘Luv’, “Upgrade” and “Ash”. Written by Green and Johnson, it concludes Ash’s story with Guinaldo’s art about ten years before the events of the Villeneuve sequel.

It’s been 20 years since Ash helped a young girl and her replicant mother escape from her sadistic father’s clutches – business tycoon Alexander Selwin, up to the colony of the world. Now heir to the old Tyrell Empire, Niander Wallace, ordered the capture of Cleo, believing that her DNA holds a secret of fertility. Former blade runner Ash returns to Los Angeles once again to fight to save her beloved city from the plot of Niander Wallace and his personal replicant assistant, the first replicant blade runner Luv, and meets the agreement she made years ago to protect her most loved ones. The very future of all replicants is at stake.

The omnibus version will be released every month on fall 2025, September 2nd, October 7th and November 4th. All three are now available for pre-order from Amazon, Barnes & Noble. It is a million books in the US, a banned planet in Europe and the UK, as well as local comic and major bookstores.
