Last July, Titan Comics released Rebel Moon: Nemesis, the first part of the comic series with Netflix’s original film Rebel Moon, from Zack Snyder filmmakers. Award-winning comic writer Gail Simone wrote with Art by Frederico Bertoni. The series details the origins of the breakout characters’ nemesis. Her quest for revenge serves as a direct prequel to the 2023 film. This serves as a direct prequel to the 2023 film as it looks to complete a list of 16 targets to kill in intense retaliation.
The comics are perfect for fans of Snyder movies and epic space operas. Before she became a sword-wielding cyborg assassin, Nemesis was an innocent young woman, and soon found herself in the war of imperial soldiers massacresting the whole family. With nothing to lose, she becomes a violent threat to the Empire. It’s a bad story full of action in a revenge Western style, but with the epic science fiction flares of the 2023 film that inspired it.
When discussing what drew her to the project, Simone said:
I was fascinated by this character, Nemesis, and was performed by actress Doona Beh, fantastical and almost without dialogue. Her theme of motherhood and sadness struck me hard. I can’t imagine another character like her.
Titan Comics has announced the release date for the collective version of Rebel Moon: Nemesis on March 3, 2026. You can now pre-order from Amazon, with 1 million in the US and Barnes and Noble forbidden planets in Europe and the UK. Titan Comics has released a new preview of the book. This can be seen below.
