Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products have announced the renewal of Space Ghost, with Space Ghost #1 scheduled for July 2025. The creative team of characters will continue to helm with writer David Pepose, artist Jonathan Lau, colorist Andrew Dal House and letterer Taylor Esposito.

Additionally, Space Ghost #1 has won the main cover and variations of Francesco Matina by legendary artists Alex Ross, Jae Lee, June Chung, Bjorn Barends and Michael Cho.

Dynamite Space Ghost is perhaps one of the best and hottest superhero comic books right now. On June 11, 2025, the 12th issue series was awarded annual (check out the interview with Pepose here) and will appear in March on the shelf of the LCS written by Joe Casey and drawn by Sebastián Píriz.

Dynamite said in a statement:

“Because you requested it… the adventure continues with our epic second volume Space Ghost!” series writer David Pepos. “Following the aftermath of Robo and the evil scheme council of Doom, Jonathan Lau and I have a truly exciting new storyline that comes for Space Ghost. Yang, Jace and Blip will be tested in the way their superhero partnership shakes the very foundations of their universe. Very first – Space Ghost is one of the most rewarding books I have ever had the opportunity to tackle, and I can’t wait for fans to see what we have for you!”

This new jump-on point begins with the first appearance in the classic villain series. Space Ghost and Blip find themselves on a planet-themed planet around a recreational park that has been handed over by the enthusiast toymers. Meanwhile, Yang and Jace face a mysterious figure from the past that shakes the Ghost Planet team to its core.

Pepose and the company pack mostly the issues with a complete epic, but continue with the subplot and turn into a big arc when they add things to it, offering fans what they want! The second issue of August brings another exciting character along with Eclipse Woman, the infamous old flame of Space Ghost. Space Ghost and the twins are drawn into a fatal trajectory as her energy-bending crime lords cross their path with Parco, the boss of the ruthless crime road.

Space Ghost #1 will be recruited in Diamond Comic Distributor’s May 2025 preview catalogue and is scheduled to be released in July 2025.
