This robot vacuum cleaner has a robot arm

At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, which kicks off this week, Roborock, a Chinese manufacturer of robot vacuums and other household cleaning equipment, announced a new robot vacuum model with a foldable robot arm. I had been curious about it before, but now I really wanted it.

The Omnigrip arm has 5 axes of movement and can lift objects weighing less than 300 grams, such as socks or dog toys. Mark objects that can be picked up while cleaning the floor, and then circle back to pick them up when you’re done cleaning. The second pass also cleans the area under the object. This is attention to detail. The Saros 270 is expected to be available later this year, but pricing has not yet been determined.

Meta has removed most of its AI-generated profiles from Facebook and Instagram after the AI characters sparked widespread outrage and ridicule from users on social media, the company confirmed. Meta-managed AI was launched in September 2023 and rolled out alongside the company’s celebrity-branded AI chatbot (also retired). Meta hasn’t updated these profiles in several months, and until this week, these pages appeared to have received little attention. On Instagram, their profiles also featured AI-generated posts, which, as 404 Media noted, were similar to the AI posts that are flooding the corners of the internet.
