If you own a PC, tablet, or gaming handheld and need more storage, Amazon’s latest October Prime Day sale could be the perfect time to upgrade. The two-day event, which runs through Wednesday, will include some all-time lows (or at least close to them) for recommended internal and external SSDs, microSD cards, and other storage equipment. Below, we’ve picked out a few deals that are worth your time. We will update this post as new offers become available. Please note that you must be a Prime member to view some offers.

Buy WD Black SN850X (2TB) for $140 ($50 off): If you want a drive with comparable performance but more capacity, this deal is for you. The SN850X is top-rated for PCIe 4.0 in our best SSD guide. This discount isn’t the lowest ever, but it’s about $10 to $15 less than the regular price for the 2TB model in the past few months. The 4TB model is also about $45 off at $264, but we’ve seen it sold for much lower prices in the past.
Samsung 990 Pro (4TB) with heatsink for $266 ($219 off): The Samsung 990 Pro is widely regarded as one of the fastest PCIe 4.0 drives on the market. This version comes with a heatsink, making it PS5 compatible out of the box, but it’s probably overkill for more casual tasks, and you can always save some cash by adding your own heatsink to a cheaper SSD. Masu. That said, if you don’t want to do that and need a lot of space, this is an all-time low.
Crucial P310 (2TB) for $177 ($88 off): The P310 is a small SSD for more compact devices like the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally. It uses cheaper QLC memory rather than the more powerful TLC, but reviews say something like Deck will do just fine. This is the lowest price we’ve seen so far for the 2TB version.

Crucial X9 Pro Portable SSD (1TB) for $85 ($10 off): The X9 Pro combines reliable performance with a rugged, compact design, making it a top choice in our best portable SSD guide. We’ve seen this 1TB model go significantly cheaper in previous sales, but it’s hovered in the $90 to $100 range for most of the past year. This discount is the lowest price since January.
Kingston XS1000 Portable SSD (2TB) for $102 ($38 off): The smaller Kingston It will be a pull.
SK Hynix Beetle X31 Portable SSD (1TB) for $65 ($70 off): If you only need 1TB of space, the similarly pocketable Beetle X31 will do just fine. This deal is within a few dollars of the lowest price we’ve ever seen, and about $25 off the drive’s regular in-store price.
Crucial X10 Pro Portable SSD (2TB) for $147 ($43 off): To take full advantage of USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, you need a device that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, and the X10 Pro is essentially A faster version of X9 Pro. Again, this discount isn’t the lowest ever, but the 2TB model has typically retailed for around $190 in recent months.
Lexar SL500 Portable SSD (1TB) for $85 ($45 off): This is also a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 model, so most people will skip this and buy the cheaper USB 3.2 Gen 2 SSD or buy the more expensive If you need performance, you can buy a faster USB4 drive. . However, if the SL500 fits your setup, this discount is about $5-10 less than the regular street price for the 1TB model.

Samsung Bar Plus USB Flash Drive (128GB) for $13 ($8 off). The Bar Plus is a basic but reliable thumb drive if you just want a simple stick to hold and transfer files. It has typically sold for between $15 and $20 over the past year.
SanDisk microSDXC Card for Nintendo Switch (128GB, 2-pack) $28 ($12 off): SanDisk’s Switch-branded microSD card isn’t the fastest we’ve ever used, but it’s perfectly suited for most use cases. And this is solid value for a 2-pack.
Lexar Professional Silver Plus microSD Card (256GB, 2-pack) $39 ($7.49 off): The Silver Plus is one of the fastest UHS-I microSD cards on the market (as long as you use the appropriate USB adapter) . This discount is the lowest ever for a pair of 256GB cards.
Lexar Professional 1066x microSD Card (1TB) $75 ($70 off): The Professional 1066x is another practical (if humble) card we tested for our guide. This deal is approximately $15 off the recent average street price for the 1TB model.
SanDisk Ultra microSD Card (1.5TB) for $89 ($61 off): If you don’t really care about performance and just want a lot of space for as little money as possible, this deal should work for you. You’ll have to deal with slower transfer speeds, but the discount saves you about $20 off the regular price for this 1.5 TB card in recent months.
WD Black C50 Xbox Expansion Card (1TB) $121 ($37 off): It’s a pain, but the only way to fully expand your Xbox Series X/S’s storage is with a proprietary expansion card like the C50 . . While this deal isn’t an all-time low, it’s $10 to $20 lower than the typical street prices we’ve seen in recent months.
Seagate Xbox Storage Expansion Card (2TB) for $199 ($50 off): If you want to add 2TB to your Xbox, this is the best price ever for an expansion card from Seagate. There’s very little performance difference between this and the C50, so which one is best for you simply depends on how much space you need.

SK Hynix Platinum P41 (1TB) $76 ($19 off MSRP): This matches the lowest price for SK Hynix’s high-speed PCIe 4.0 internal SSD in a year. This is a great option for PC or PlayStation 5. However, please note that it does not come with a heatsink.
Crucial T705 (2TB) for $240 ($160 off): Most people don’t need to pay extra for an ultra-fast PCIe 5.0 drive like the T705, but they need strong performance and a compatible motherboard. If you own one, this is how much it costs. That’s $45 off the average price for a 2TB model.
