The XB-1 jet of the boom breaks the sound barrier for the first time

The boom, a startup that develops a new generation of ultra -sound aircraft, has achieved a large milestone after test plane breaks the sound barrier for the first time. The XB-1 “Baby Boom”, which was piloted by Tristan “Gepette” Brandenburg, flew over the Mohabe desert over the Bell X-1 Super Sonic Corido. The XB-1 reached the speed of 1.1 at an altitude of 35,000 feet for a few minutes before exhausted the permitted airspace for a super-sound travel. The plane destroys a total sound barrier three times before returning to the base. This is the first time that a private aircraft has broken a healthy barrier while flying in the United States.

ENGADGET was preparing to cover the boom with a wide range of profiles, publish XB-1, and prepare for test flights. Since then, we have been taking a series of tests in a series of sub -speed test flights from March 2024 to the end of the year. In the background, the company has signed a contract with a major airline, including United and the United States, to provide passenger jets for private service. This craft is called an overseas, with the maximum speed of Mach 1.7 (equivalent to 1,305 miles per hour), reducing the existing travel time by half. At least for those who can afford to buy tickets.
