The Unknown #3 Review Challenger

The Unknown Challenger continues to show another aspect of DC Comics. Terrific, a team of powered scientists, is now slowly jailing each of them, fearing that the Dead Darkseid is now using them as weapons. In the Unknown #3 challenger, Professor Haley takes the center stage alongside Ray Palmer (Atom), further revealing that bigger plans may be ongoing.

The challenger in Uknown #3 is extremely pulpy in an adventure story-like way. Christopher Cantwell goes to our heroes to part of a world where dinosaurs roam freely. The swamp stuff also protects it. Before they embark, Professor Haley has a great reminder that he is respected, but he also doubts all the challengers, so he is also on a short leash.

Through story set up, adventures on Jungle Island are dangerous and enlightening. Outside of dinosaur attacks, Anthro and Embra appear with surprisingly clever brains. It’s a bit of a mystery, and it’s directly connected to Professor Haley in a fascinating way. Once revealed, Cantwell reveals his considerable responsibility for Professor Haley and his ability to surpass Metron.

Another day at work.

That responsibility is tied to new characters on the universe level and is brilliantly portrayed on an epic scale. Sean Isakse and Amankai Nahierpan share the responsibility of the arts. Both offer similar detailed styles known for superhero comics.

The creative team does something most comics haven’t done recently. It offers classic pulp adventures in a single issue. The events in this issue may range from several, but I’m happy to know that here we’re making everything into one issue.

The structure of the story is a bit predictable at this point. We know that The Terrific is looking at the challenger, and for each issue, he appears to be putting it in the cell one after another. The next issue promises some shakeups, but its predictability allows the problem to close, while the next issue promises some reforms.

The Unknown #3 Challenger continues to offer fun glove trotting adventures with mysterious edges, balanced mystery, action, and high concept sci-fi. Its structure is beginning to feel stylistic, but the introduction of new cosmic elements and moments of strong character keeps it attractive. If you’re a fan of modern DC twist and classic adventure storytelling, this issue is worth your time.

“Unknown Challenger” #3 embraces its pulp adventure roots

A single issue offers a classic adventure story in pulpy.

It focuses on strong characters on Professor Haley with intriguing development.

The story structure is becoming more predictable, and he is systematically jailing team members.
