For those who maintain their score, the ultimate universe already had three major ends.
Ultimate, the end, the big change. There are no doubt four if you include Spider-Man’s death. And the smaller mini-ends of individual series are like “decomposition,” “World War I X,” “Split,” and almost the entire run of Jonathan Hickman in most ultimates. You can probably find a little more if you want. If anything, the ultimate universe was undoubtedly superior to offering the level of destruction and death that is often unprecedented in the Main Line 616.
And then they pick up themselves, shuffle the status quo, and continue in a new direction. In other words, they became friends without wastelands created in New Jersey, most of Western Europe, and in the southwest of the United States. Then a secret war broke out and everything was over.

The ultimate ending with Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Bagley, Scott Hannah, Andrew Hennessy, Justin Ponsor and VC Corey Petit is the ultimate universe swan song. In a rather crowded NYC, versions of heroes from both the main and ultimate universes try to coexist while working to solve problems with the radius of dimensions, stop the Hulk fight and deal with the punisher who decides to kill everyone. Tony Stark claims to be himself.
As I said about Cataclysm, I think it’s fitting that the end will fall into the hands of Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley. The ultimate universe technically ended with a secret war, but although this Battleworld domain can be argued to be a simulacrum (both in both the 616 and 1610 universes), it is still a kind of homage to the old universe. That’s why you obviously bring Frank Castle and Steve Rogers back from death, but it’s full of old standbys like Parker Angst, trademark Bendis, and giant Hulk battles. It’s fun even if you haven’t made any continuation or conclusions from the ultimate titles of the past few episodes.
It hasn’t been taken away from Mark Bagley’s artwork, but that applies to the character’s designs and costumes as many seem to have returned to their old form. He keeps things flowing well, as the series is as busy as multiple characters. The action sequences are absolutely top-notch, with interesting framing in Punisher’s sniper scenes and various Hulk fights. It uses solid inks from both Hannah and Hennessy to keep the bagley lines smooth and give your shading a nice texture. Amazing color art from Justin Ponsor. And a nice mix of all cap lettering from Cory Petit to distinguish between different universes and characters. This is especially useful when distinguishing between two punchers.

While it may not be possible to tie everything together from the universe with a bow, the ultimate ending of Bendis, Bagley, Hannah, Hennessy, Ponsor and Petit brings a conclusion to the original ultimate experiment. I think it is satisfyingly replicating the fact that it feels like a substantial amount of themes and feeling, across the history of the Line, while working within the broader framework of secret war events. I had many purposes before, but this time I didn’t come back anytime soon.
Instead, it serves as a way to bring Mile Morales into the minor rearranged main universe. I emphasize his importance. And how did the universe change after the series?
