Zainab Akhtar’s annual short box comic fair, All-Digital’s Indie Comics Convention, will launch tomorrow, October 1, 2025. The convention will be held until October and until Halloween. Featuring over 100 comic creators, the event will help connect independent artists with new readers.
According to the event’s website, “The purpose of the fair is to act as a creative driving force for artists to create something new. It is to provide a platform for fresh, unique, independent comics.

The Short Box Comic Fair will open at 8am UK time on October 1st and close at 8pm UK time on October 31st, with the comic available on the event’s website. Sales are licensed monthly only and distributed digitally.
The Short Box Comics Fair Instagram account will highlight creators who participate in the annual event and see a preview of the comics in question. You can check out some of them below.
Creators earn a large portion of the revenue from sales that are sold as downloadable digital comics rather than being hosted on their website. Customers will get a link to download at the time of purchase.
The artists don’t have a fair fee for “table fees” and in 2023 the fair reportedly generated $400,000 in sales.
