IDW Publishing is continuing its momentum this fall. From the city of New York to the vastness of the universe, to Godzilla’s own shadow, the publisher offers readers a diverse lineup that highlights how widespread the storytelling has become.

Next Monday’s Final Order Cutoff (FOC) includes the debut issue and two hotly expected follow-ups. Today, we are exclusively revealing previews of all three letters and colors: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Casey Jones #1, Godzilla: Dead Zone #2, Star Trek: A Strange New World – Seed of Salvation #2.

Godzilla: Escape Dead Zone #2

On sale: September 17, 2025
Exclusive: Preview with letter
Read Godzilla review: Let Dead Zone #1 get away! Plus, don’t miss out on podcast interviews with the author!

IDW’s latest Kaiju Saga chapter 2 continues the unsettling journey of a wanderer, the half-human half-kaiju figure trapped in a Deadzone. Writers Ethan S. Parker and the Griffin Sheridan team up with artist Pablo Tunica to uncover the horrifying truth, including a cult who claims fellowship with Godzilla himself.

Packed with surreal visuals and pulse-pound suspense, the series is based on a long tradition of monster comics, carving its own eerie myth. For fans of Kaiju’s storytelling, which combines spectacle and horror, Esceat the Deadzone is becoming a must-see.

Star Trek: A Strange New World – Seed of Salvation #2

On sale: October 15, 2025
Exclusive: Full Color Preview

Captain Pike’s crew is back with No. 2 of Salvation, and their mission is deepening them under the frozen surface of the planet Poilant. There, they can reveal the mystery of alien temples and tendrils that could reconstruct their mission, threatening the Federation itself.

The series expands the Hit Paramount+ Show and offers readers new adventures that reflect the tone and themes of a strange new world while exploring fresh territory. With UNA, Chapel, Spock and Scotty at the heart of the action, fans can expect a mix of character-driven dramas that define Discovery, Danger and Star Trek.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Casey Jones #1

On sale: September 17, 2025
Exclusive: Preview with letter
Read the duo interviews on Shredder and don’t miss TMNT Tuesday featuring the series. And read the pre-review.

For the first time in decades, Casey Jones is in the spotlight with his own solo series. Written by Alex Paknadel along with the art of Amankai Naerpan, this new #1 delves into the spirit of TMNT’s most unpredictable alliance. Picking up after a deadly shooting, Casey struggles to find her place in the city, still mutating under the shadow of a strange new threat.

The issue balances rough street-level storytelling with high-octane action fans while also teasing the mysterious new villain lurking across the alley. With multiple variant covers, including works by Kevin Eastman, Ben Bishop and others, the sixth issue series promises to expand the turtle universe in the way long-time readers have been waiting for.

The future of IDW’s franchise

Together, these three titles highlight IDW’s commitment to pushing their beloved franchise in an exciting and unknown direction. Give your spotlight to someone popular with cults like Casey Jones, reinvent Godzilla myth for a new generation, or expand on Star Trek’s strange new world with original stories.

With these exclusive previews, fans will first see where the journey of vigilantes, Kaiju survivors and Starfleet officers heads next. If you want to secure a copy of these issues, let your local comic shop know at FOC.

Please pre-order the deadline for other IDW titles.

Pre-orders for 9/8:
Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1
30 Days Night: Falling to Sun #1
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder #2
Star Trek: A Strange New World – Seed of Salvation #2
