The Marvel Age of Comics series appears via Bloomsbury

In an astonishing move, Bloomsbury and Marvel agreed to a multi-year, multi-licensing agreement to develop and publish a Marvel Age of Comics series highlighting over 85 years of Marvel comics. The book offers a unique and accessible entry point for the wider Marvel Cannon, looking back at decades of comic history. Written by a series of experts, including writers, journalists and pop culture critics, Marvel Age of Comics is set to provide an overview of the entire history of Marvel Comics, and the popular Bloomsbury 33 1/3 series book It is made like this. Each topic ranges from deep dives to singular comic storylines, remarkable runs, and works produced by creators who have made remarkable contributions to Marvel stories.

The story also has several perspectives on the origins and evolution of certain characters, social and progressive themes, as well as historical moments reflected in Marvel comics. It also takes place primarily in narrative non-fiction prose, bringing text to life using cartoon curated artwork and replicated material from Marvel’s digital archives. The book is available in paperback, hardback and audio to serve various areas of the market.

Harris Nakvi, publishing director at Bloomsbury America, indicated:

Sven Larsen, Vice President of Licensed Publishing at Marvel has been added:

We’ve seen Bloomsbury’s work on projects such as 33 1/3. We are a tremendous fan of our work and can’t wait for them to take a similar approach by combining material, academic expertise and respect with some of our biggest publishing moments. The New Marvel Age For the Of Comic Series. We look forward to seeing their favourite stories in a whole new light.”

The series, released in November in three books, explores the three characters and stories of the most impactful decades of Marvel comics. It has been confirmed that it will be released on Ytasha L. Womack on Spider-Man: Miles Morales in May 2026.

Dr. Strange: Decade of Dark Magic by Stuart Moore (November 13, 2025) tells the story of one of Marvel’s strangest and otherworldly heroes discussed against the turbulent backdrop of the 1960s It’s there.

Paul Cornell (November 13, 2025)’s Mighty Avengers vs. 1970s, a 1970s mirror of one of Marvel’s key comics from the 1970s, a novel and novel, filled with rapid social change. I look at it as a mirror.
