Since its first launch in 2018, DC’s Black Label Imprint has allowed creators to have greater freedom to create stories with the classics of publisher characters that can’t stand continuity. Today, DC announced its latest black label project using Batman/Green Arrow/The Fusion: Arcadia. Available this November, this four-book comic book series features acclaimed storyteller Gabriel Hardman uniting three ideologically distinct heroes in DC’s ideologically different stories with a vast story of global interests and personal calculations. Here’s how the publisher explained the miniseries:
Through a high stakes blend of suspense, spying and conflict, Batman/Green Arrow/Question: Arcadia is perfect for readers seeking complex stories and iconic archetypes, as the comic book series dives deep into the three moral grey zones of the DC Universe’s most unique freedom. In Arcadia, Vicsurge, working from the corrupt shell of Hub City, questions deeply covers the traces of human trafficking work in the frozen Arctic. Oliver Queen of Green Arrow has been pushed out of his own company C suite, but has to bring his falling life back together… But what is his involvement with a mysterious project called Queen Industries’ Arcadia? Spurred by the questions, Green Arrow joins the hunt for answers…but one obstacle gets in the way of their investigation: Batman.
The creative team includes Hardman, who writes pencil and ink Arcadia, as well as letterers from colorists Romulo Fajardo Jr. and Simon Bowland. In addition to the main cover of Hardman, the first issue will feature variant covers from the legendary duo of Kevin Nowlan and Denys Cowan & Bill Sienkiewicz. DC fans may recognize that the Cowan and Sienkiewicz variants were originally DC posters promoting the “Fables” crossover between 1988 Detective Comics Annual #1, Green Arrow Annual #1, and Question Annual #1. This is the first time it has been offered as a variant cover and will be available in standard cardstock and trade dress-free foil versions.

In an official statement, Hardman pointed out that while the miniseries were inspired by the ’80s era of DC, it was never a rehash of nostalgia.
“I’ve wanted to talk about Batman, Green Arrow and questions since I was 14, so I couldn’t be excited to get the chance at the end,” Gabriel Hardman said. “While taking inspiration from the great works of Denny O’Neill, Dennis Cowan and Mike Grell, the series is not a nostalgia exercise. It took the lead in the late 80s and faces these three difficult, opinionated personalities on a global scale and faces modern crime brands.”
Batman/Green Arrow/Question: Arcadia #1 will be released on November 26th, 2025. The cardstock covers sell for $5.99, while the foil variant covers sell for $7.99. Batman/Green Arrow/Question: Arcadia carries DC’s content descriptors (for mature readers) over the age of 17. Batman/Green Arrow/Question: Arcadia is edited by DC executive editor Chris Conroy and assistant editor Ash Padilla. Batman/Green Arrow/Question: Arcadia (hardcover, ISBN 9781799505518), collects all four regular issues, hits on the shelf on June 16th, 2026, and sells for $24.99.
