Samsung made a lot of announcements at CES 2025, including a number of new laptops and TVs, but as expected, the company plans to save some of the biggest news for its own event. Samsung will be holding its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year on January 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM ET to show off its latest Galaxy AI and the new Galaxy devices it runs on.
The event will be held in San Jose, and as always, you can pre-order the company’s new gear for $50 off (and even before it’s officially announced), plus a chance to win a $5,000 Samsung gift card. This is on top of Samsung’s usually generous trade-in credits, which the company announced earlier this year will give you up to $900 in additional credits when you trade in your old device.
Given the timing of Unpacked, Samsung is likely to announce the Galaxy S25 series, and at least the Galaxy S25 Ultra is likely to use the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and feature an updated design. Even more interesting are the non-smartphone devices that Samsung might show off. The company is already rumored to be working on the Galaxy Ring 2, so there’s a good chance Samsung’s “Project Moohan” Android XR headset will appear at the event.
Engadget has all the details on Samsung’s announcement here, but if you’d like to watch the event for yourself, you can do so on Samsung.com, Samsung’s Newsroom, or the company’s YouTube channel.
