EC Comics has risen from the grave and revived a monthly series that refuses to rest in peace. Nearly 70 years after its historic ban by the Comics Legislation Board in the 1950s, the EC Comics series has been revived with the continuation Epitaphs from the Abyss (a new horror line label after retiring the TALES FROM THE CRYPT moniker). i’m back. A gruesome six issues will be released this December. Just below that is a preview page that you can read.

This production sees the return of writers J. Holtham, Mark Russell, and Tim Seeley, who are joined by artists Charlie Adlard, David Lapham, and more.

Read more from the publisher:

Yes, my horrifying ghouls, AiPT! A story fueled by “blood, gore, and gut-wrenching anxiety” that won’t stop until it exacts its revenge. In this month’s richly gory issue, raucous and obsessive writers J. Holtham (The Horizon Experiment), Mark Russell (Batman: Dark Age), and Tim Seeley (The Local Man) and hilariously sinful artists Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead), David Lapham (Stray Bullets) and others begin writing three all-new tales of pain. Terror and retribution are thrown like flies over a rotting corpse into the gravestones that dot the gravedigger’s cemetery. Note: Only 6 issues have been published so far. The fun is just beginning.

Ahead of its release, Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Crook’s How Was Your Day features stunning covers by Lee Bermejo, Tom Fowler, Bill Crabtree, Jay Stevens and Ryan Hughes. This is an exclusive first look at Comics Beat!
