The iPad attaches magnetically and sits over your keys or trackpad, and can be tilted from 90 degrees to 130 degrees for the perfect viewing position. The keyboard itself is surprisingly sturdy and can withstand long periods of use. When used on your lap, it doesn’t have the stability of a standard laptop, but it also doesn’t cause your setup to fall apart easily. The glass trackpad is also a standout. Although it’s noticeably smaller than the trackpad found on a full-size MacBook, it’s still wide enough for gestures and generally easy to use.
While the Magic Keyboard offers one of the best typing experiences you can get with an iPad Pro case or any other model of your choice, there are two major drawbacks to the Magic Keyboard. They lack sufficient fall protection and are expensive. The edges don’t wrap around the iPad, so it’s not the best purchase, especially if you’re prone to dropping things.
