Oh no! I almost missed this! I always buy from Kickstarter because all of Gaming Ballistic’s releases are great, regardless of system.
Warlock Night is a “programmed adventure” (also available solo): 20 books in PDF, 30 books in PDF and Foundry files, 40 books in print and PDF, and 60 books in print, PDF, cards and Foundry VTT files. Oh, and previous titles in the series are also available.
Warlock Knight is a programmed solitaire adventure for the GURPS-powered Dungeon Fantasy RPG. Designed as an introductory adventure, characters start at 150 points and grow throughout the adventure to approach the typical starting point of 250 featured in the Dungeon Fantasy RPG box set. Warlock Knight can be played with or without a GM and can be expanded into an ongoing campaign.
Warlock Knight is a Dungeon Fantasy RPG adaptation of David’s excellent version of The Fantasy Trip. It’s designed to introduce the setting of the island of Sedra in the same way that Saethor’s Bane introduces the neighboring island of Elazar.
Designed to introduce and teach the features and options of dungeon fantasy RPGs, the game sees three martial artist characters embark on a quest to reclaim their lost titles through adventure.
Characters start at 150 points, significantly less than the 250 point characters found in Dungeon Fantasy RPG. This ability level is fully supported by the Delvers to Grow modular character building system. These characters start roughly halfway between a 125 point “Journeyman” and a 187 point “Master”. By the end of the adventure, they should be roughly the same as their starting level in DFRPG.
The adventure is much longer than Saethor’s Bane, Gaming Ballistic’s previous standalone release of the dungeon fantasy RPG. To make it easier to lay the book flat on a table while playing, the material is split into two volumes, loosely called “The Adventure” and “Supporting Cast.” The digital file consists of a single file, with the two volumes presented in order, which allows hyperlinks to be maintained.
There are no stretch goals, all of the art is already in hand, and all prints, cards, and digital support materials will be rapidly prepared and should be ready for PDF distribution once the campaign ends.
