Skybound and Image Comics has announced Super Creepshow Special #1, a brand new one-shot that expands the Eisner-nominated Creepshow anthology series based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Schedar television show. Released on October 8th, 2025, this special brings together horror and superheroes in new twisted ways.
The issue features three calm stories from some of the comic’s top talents. Dan Watters and Carmine Di Jandmenico open with stories about a superhero funeral that swirls through something much darker. Ryan Stegman and Riley Rosmo introduce the ghost of the grave, a hat-wearing crusade investigating his own murder. And Ed Brisson and Andrei Blessan give a horrifying twist to Super Soldy’s formula when forces are injected into dangerous individuals.
Executive editor Ben Abernathy called the horror and heroic mashup “dream realization,” and promised that the creative team had brought “a spooky A-game.”
Super Creepshow Special #1 is available in Pye Parr main cover and variations by Di Giandomenico and Rossmo. Arrived just before Creepshow Volume 4, which begins every month in September, features creators such as Jeremy Adams, Eduardo Risso, Rosie Knight & Oliver Ono, Rachel Pinnelas, Gabriel Walta and Sina Grace.
Previous volumes of Creepshow are available in both trade paperbacks and deluxe hardcover formats featuring works from top names such as Garth Ennis, Becky Cloonan, Chip Zdarsky and Jorge Fornés.
Horror, heroes, and all fans in between don’t want to miss this special issue when they land on comic shops and digital platforms this October.
