The new graphic novel in the “Legacy of Kain” series, “Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver – The Dead Shall Rise,” which we recently introduced for its gorgeous soundtrack, a collaboration between Celldweller and Trivium’s Matthew Heaphy, will be released as scheduled on the 21st of this month. The Kickstarter campaign cleared its initial goal of $25,000 in just 24 hours, and has now raised about $1.04 million, more than four times the goal.
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver – The Dead Shall Rise is a prequel to Soul Reaver, focusing on the events that took place between the first Blood Omen and its sequel Soul Reaver, and telling the story of the fate of Kain and Raziel. Donations start at $15 to get a digital PDF version. In addition to the three hardcover regular and limited editions, there are also many deluxe editions with luxurious bonuses such as Raziel and Kain masks, art prints, and replica Reaver Swords, so if you’re interested, why not donate early?
