There’s nothing better than finding a killer sale on a great product. Here are October’s Prime Day deals that tick almost all the boxes. Sony’s WH-1000XM4 headphones retail for $130, which is a new record low. It often sells for $348, and its lowest price in the past was $198.
These aren’t the best Sony headphones on the market. The XM5 is now at the top of the mountain (overall our favorite noise canceling headphones). But the XM4 is still a great set of cans, especially at this bargain price.

Sony’s excellent noise-cancelling headphones, the WH-1000XM4, have dropped to their lowest price to date on Prime Day in October. These cans can be yours for just $130.

We gave the XM4 a score of 94 in our review. Powerful and customizable active noise cancellation was a big selling point, as was immersive audio. The “pause when speaking” feature is very nifty, but multipoint connectivity is always welcome. Price was one of our main drawbacks, but thankfully it’s less of an issue now.
Sony says you can use it for up to 30 hours on a single charge (which matches our testing), and a 10-minute fast charge will give you 5 hours of playback time. We felt the touch controls definitely worked well, and the five-microphone array should provide clear audio during calls.
Additionally, the XM4 supports Sony’s 360 Reality Audio format for immersive sound. These songs typically sound better than standard tracks, and the library of supported music has grown over the years, but not all streaming services support this format. Amazon Music Unlimited is the best known. Meanwhile, Tidal dropped support for the format in favor of Dolby Atmos this summer.
