Skybound and Image Comics revealed the new Act 4 Publishing Collaboration: Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist’s Edition-Expanded and Mike Mignola’s Hellboy in Hell Book 2 Artist’s Edition. The Wallywood collection will arrive in February 2026 with Hellboy in March 2026.

Act 4 Publishing is known for bringing important comic classics as close to the original as possible – the ink gradient, blue pencils and all the unique nuances that make the original art so special all look clear. They have already launched their Batman collection via Skybound.

“Wallywood is one of my favourite artists and seeing his beautiful work in this unique way is an extraordinary experience,” Scott Dunvia said.

And with Hellboy, “One of the best things about working with Scott Dunvia in the Act 4 book is the breadth of material he brings to the table,” says Nachie Marsham, senior editor at Skybound. “To be able to bring amazing stories to the shelf from Wally Wood and bring this amazing edition of Mignola’s work really shows just how amazing these books are.”

Los Angeles 05/22/2025 – Today’s Skybound and Image Comics has announced that two new artist editions have been released in early 2026, in collaboration with Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing.

Coming in February 2026, he discovered a whole new look to the work of legendary Wallywood, helping him change the face of the comic forever with EC Comics, a groundbreaking publisher known for industry-leading horror, sci-fi and suspense storytelling.

Wally Wood EC Stories Artist’s Edition – Expanded includes all 18 stories, the first in the long print, but that’s not all. And for the first time, the 10-storey building has created an incredible total of 28 full stories and original art, all in the same huge size (15 x 22 inches!)!

These pages have some of Wood’s biggest artistic achievements, including Mars heaven, atomic bomb, blockade and more! Additionally, it includes over a dozen classic covers made from wood. As a special bonus, the unreleased “Venus’ Spawn” contains an e-comic comic story aimed at cancelled 3D science fiction in this volume.

“Wallywood is one of my favourite artists and seeing his beautiful work in this unique way is an extraordinary experience,” Scott Dunvia said.

Then, in March 2026, we will jump into the second stunning half of Hellboy in Hell, issue 6-10, and dive into numerous covers and story pages from award-winning creator Mike Mignora in this glorious, oversized artist edition!

Mike Mignora continues to be one of the outstanding comic creators of the past decades. His career was already firmly established for his outstanding works on characters such as Batman, Wolverine, and countless beautiful covers…and Hellboy came. Mignola’s iconic creations hit fan and meteor chords from the start, but have not softened for more than 30 years since the character’s debut.

“One of the best things about working with Scott Dunvia in the Act 4 book is the breadth of material he brings to the table,” said Nachie Marsham, senior editor at Skybound. “To be able to bring amazing stories to the shelf from Wally Wood and bring this amazing edition of Mignola’s work really shows just how amazing these books are.”

The artist’s edition is an art book disguised as a manga collection. Although it appears to be black and white, all the art is scanned in color, allowing readers to see the work as close to the original as possible. The gradients of ink, blue pencils and all the unique nuances that make the original art so special, are all painted in the same size as clearly visible. The only better way to experience these pages is to look at the artist’s drawings, as the artist draws.

These books represent the second wave of releases from Act 4 Publishing and Skybound Partnership. The first release of the distribution agreement will be the DC Classic Artist Edition of Jim Aparo, which will be in September and October 2025, respectively, and the complete Spirit Appraisal Edition, respectively.

For future releases within the Publishing Partnership, J. There are Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl Artist Edition, Dave Stevens’ Cover and Story “The Enthusiast Edition,” Jason Pearson’s Body Bag Artists Edition, and Paul Smith’s Escape Chance Artist Edition. Details about the publication of these books will be announced in the coming months.

Wallywood’s EC Story Artist Edition – Expansion (ISBN 978-1-5343-3514-1 | SRP $195.00) is available in the Comic Book Shop on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, and in bookstores on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026.

Mike Mignora’s Hellboy in Hellbook 2 Artist Edition (ISBN 978-1-5343-3284-3 | SRP $150.00) is available in the Comic Book Shop on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 and in the Bookstore on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026.
