Skybound and Image Comics, in partnership with Hasbro, revealed the full lineup of Void Rivals #23 interior pages and variant covers. The issue comes from the creative team of Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead), Connor Hughes (White Ash), colorist Patricio Delpeche (Nation of Nightmares) and Letterer Russ Wooton (Firepower). The latest chapters from the hit sci-fi saga arrive at the comic shop on September 24th, 2025.

This article features fans’ favorite debuts. Willie, the rhyming Autobot, and eventually enter the universe of energy, and soon crosses the path with Cobrara’s Paisona.

All the issues with Void Rivals continue to peel off the layers of the expanding Energon Universe, appearing from beloved Transformers heroes and villains, allies and enemies, and some shocking surprises.

Issue #23 features a main cover by Lorenzo de Felici and a wide range of variations including:

Order open cover B by Conner Fuse

Next entry in the 1:10 connection cover series for Martín Morazzo and Patricio Delpeche

1:25 incentive cover by Andrea de Dominicis

1:50 incentive cover by John Amor

This fall is also set for the book’s biggest arc: Quintesson War. Starting this December with Void Rivals #25, Kirkman will collaborate with new series artist Andrei Bressan (Destro, Uncanny X-Men). Together, they offer an Energone Universe event that promises to rock the Holy Ring to its core.

As one of the pillars of the Energon Universe, Void Rivals pins the ambitious collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, which makes United Transformers and Gi Joe a shared comic book world. Other ongoing series include Gi Joe by Daniel Warren Johnson and Jorge Corona’s Eisner Award-winning Transformers, Joshua Williamson and Andrea Milana. Each title continues to be built towards a game-changing revelation, redefineing some of the cartoon’s most iconic franchises.

Void Rivals #23 (coming soon | $3.99) will be available on comic shops and digital platforms such as Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025.
