Ecos, led by Marvel Studios founding chairman David Maisel, will launch the second installment of Aspen Comics on Kickstarter later this month. Today, The Beat can exclusively reveal two different covers for the comic that continues the story of protagonist Grell.

Produced by Maisel and Aspen Comic, Ekos Vol. 2 is written by JT Krul, penciled by Alex Konat, digitally inked by Mark Roslan, colored by Peter Steigerwald, and lettered by Josh Reed. This world is inspired by Mark Turner and Geoff Johns and stars Grell, a character they created in 2003. Volume 1 raised $238,102 on Kickstarter.

Here is the complete synopsis for Ecos Vol. 1: 2:

Ecos Volume 2 continues the story of a new superstar named Grell, who embarked on a journey to discover the world of Ecos in Volume 1. Grell meets many beloved characters from Michael Turner’s legacy, including superstars Aspen (Fathom) and Grace (Soulfire), and teams up with them to accomplish a common mission. Notably, Ekos is the first time these characters all come together in the same universe, and the second volume continues their journey as they deal with turmoil in the realm and climate change with humans.

Ahead of the campaign launch, The Beat can reveal various covers by artists Kendrick Lim and Siya Oum (see below).

Fans who want to know the latest information on Ekos Vol. 2 can sign up on the campaign’s pre-launch page and receive a notification as soon as the Kickstarter goes live.

Ecos Vol. 1 is available from the Aspen Comics Online Store.
