If you want flagship-quality features at a more affordable price, the Samsung FE series is for you. Today, the company announced its two newest entries, the Galaxy S24 FE and the Galaxy Watch FE LTE. Both devices incorporate tools from the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Watch, including features such as AI-powered photo editing, fitness tracking, and more. Plus, they’re both set to go on sale next week, so you won’t have to wait long.
Galaxy S24FE
Like previous FE devices, the Galaxy S24 FE offers many of the appealing features of the regular S24 at a more affordable price. Priced starting at $650, the phone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Under the hood, it runs Android 14 and One UI 6.1 with an Exynos 2400e processor and 8GB RAM. Of course, there are many AI-powered features such as Circle to Search, Interpretation, Live Translation, Composer, Note Assist, and more. Knox security is once again onboard, as is the 4,700 mAh battery and IP68 rated design.
Cameras are always important in mobile phones, and the S24 FE is no exception. The device runs Samsung AI-driven ProVisual Engine to improve low-light performance, zoom image quality, and Super High Dynamic Range (HDR) color optimization. There are also AI features such as generative editing, portrait studio, editing suggestions, and instant slow motion. Still images and videos are captured with a 50MP wide camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. There’s also an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There is a 10MP sensor on the front for taking selfies.
Samsung also says that the S24 FE is suitable for gaming. Thanks to the Exynos processor, the phone offers ray tracing, and the 120Hz display is equipped with the Vision Booster tool, so colors and contrast stay “clear and pleasant” even outdoors. It also has a larger vapor chamber compared to the S23 FE, improving overall cooling performance.
Galaxy S24 FE will be available on October 3rd in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage configurations and in Blue, Graphite, Gray, and Mint color options. Reservations will begin from today.
Galaxy Watch FE LTE
Samsung already debuted the Galaxy Watch FE this summer, and now the company is back with an LTE version. Starting at $250, this model allows you to make calls, text messages, and more even when you’re away from your phone. It features a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, fitness and sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, and more, all powered by Wear OS. As my colleague Cherlynn Low explains, this is basically a Galaxy Watch 7 with LTE.
Galaxy Watch FE LTE will be released on October 3rd, with pre-orders starting today.
