Rocketship Entertainment, a collaboration with Mobile-First Games Company Rovio Entertainment Ltd., has launched its Angry Birds graphic novel collection on Kickstarter. The collection includes three brand new Angry Birds titles written by Eisner winner Paul Tobin and drawn by Apple nominated Tom Zahler.

The unforgettable thing of Hoghouse follows the angry bird Chuck after he inherits the castle. Unfortunately for him, he is not the only resident. It is also dominated by a pig named Garry. Here’s the complete overview:

Chuck inherits the castle! It’s old, it’s creepy and requires serious amounts of repair, but… Amazing! castle! Chuck is not really sure who left the castle on his own will for him, but he wants to start life as the castle master! As an exception… he learns that he is not the only one who will inherit this castle. Again… a pig named Garry! It turns out that the original owner of the castle (a pig named Preston Peatherpopple) loves to watch pigs and birds fight. He sat on the castle with a telescope, seeing the “funny attitude” of pigs fighting birds, often betting on the outcome with friends. In honor of these “joking” he will his castle for both pigs and birds! Can Chuck (and his bird friend!) and Garry (and his pig friend!) learn to live and work with each other? Haha… no! Also, the castle appears to be haunted. In other words, it’s amazing. Big time.

Level up is followed by Red and other angry birds as you wake up in a fantasy RPG world where pigs seem to live mostly. Here’s the complete overview:

Red and others wake up one morning and find themselves in the fantasy RPG world. There you can earn experience points, level up, and gain new abilities! what happened? ! ? And there are many pigs in this world too! In fact, it’s basically a pig world, with red and other angry birds as strange as elves in the human world. Red and others soon discover that they have fallen prey to GameBlaster, a genius pig who was trying to create an RPG (actually an R-PigG) world, but the angry bird gets caught up in his experiment. Now, the only way to save yourself is to level up enough to defeat the Big Boss and the Pig Boss! With birds being useful, gaining some impressive, ridiculous things, we are proud of, and proceed across the land to finally reach the witch’s king’s hideout! Though it turns out to be a truly amazing cafe. Yes, they actually have to fight King Leopold in his house. Haha! Quest!

Breaking the bank is a robber with so many twists and it’s hard to track down. Here’s the complete overview:

A double “robber” story that gets excited when a charming Sterling named Darling turns red in search of help! Some robbers (powders!) appear to have stole a pure gold statue depicting one of the legendary ancestors of the Golden Bird, the Mighty Eagle, a precious property in her library! The evil thief (pig!) holds the golden bird in his mansion. Red and his team have to sneak into the luxury soiere (Piig’s) to get back to that statue! And they do! Hooray! yay! Except that not everything is because Darling actually uses the bird for her own evil plan (breathing!)! Now, the bird must steal the statue again. This time, pigs (these dumplings!) are holding bombs hostage and asking for the return of their property with a legitimate step, so they are penetrating the master thief’s hideout to get the statue back! But hey, maybe birds can steal bombs too? Wow, is this… a triple robber? ! ? !

“Angry Birds has always been about fun and engaging storytelling. I’m excited to partner with Rocket Entertainment to bring Flock’s adventures back to life in a brand new way through these graphic novels.”

“Angry birds are a cultural icon that bridges all forms of entertainment,” said Tom Akell, CEO and publisher of Rocketship. “With our new line of graphic novels, we are deepening our fans into the world of Angry Birds more than ever.”

Backers can grab two connection covers for each book featured in the campaign, and each set comes with a Kickstarter bird and pig slipcase. All books also come with a limited book plate signed by Tobin and Zahler. For fans who want to wear the Angry Bird Fandom on their sleeves (literally), the campaign features a limited edition backer-only Rocket x Angry Birds hoodie featuring the following designs:

Rocketship’s Angry Birds graphic novel collection is located under its bottle rocket! Participate in the 15th anniversary ceremony of the imprint and game for younger readers. This includes the third announcement of the Angry Birds film franchise, scheduled for release in 2027. Following the end of the crowdfunding campaign, all three graphic novels will be distributed globally at retail stores.
