Rob Liefeld has made a major comeback to Youngblood, writing and drawing an entirely new series for the first time in 30 years. The legendary Deadpool creator and co-founder of Image Comics rebooted Youngblood (2025) this November, and he brings some of the comic’s biggest names for the ride.

In his debut issue, Skottie Young (I Hate Fairyland), Daniel Warren Johnson (Transformers, Do a Powerbomb), Ryan Stegman (X-Men, Venom), Ryan Ottley (Invincible), Kael NGU (Venom), Erik Gist (Undeadpool), Mark Spears (Monster), Mark Spears (Monster), Skottie Young (I Hate Fairyland), Daniel Warren Johnson (Do a Powerbomb), Ryan Stegman (X-Men, Venom), Ryan There is an impressive variant cover from Ottley (Undeadpools).

“These are the most in demand, most popular and most famous names in the comics business, and the old man Liefeld has been humbled because he can’t be more grateful for delivering these spectacular young blood covers!” Liefeld said in a statement.

Earlier this year, Liefeld’s Youngblood Deluxe Reprints caused a collector’s frenzy and sold out quickly. Now, the team is active in Youngblood (2025) #1, facing a new threat from the Pacific Ocean after a mysterious ship appears and a deadly enemy appears.

Image Comics publisher and creative officer Eric Stevenson highlighted the importance of full creative control for Liefeld this time.

Liefeld will be celebrating the style of the renewal at San Diego Comic-Con next week. On Thursday, he claims the “Roblyfeld: Young Blood 33rd Anniversary” panel at room 7AB at 5pm. Fans can also grab the SDCC-only Youngblood #1 variant with Image Comics Booth (#1915).

Youngblood (2025) #1 will be on the comic shop on Wednesday, November 5th and will also be available digitally on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books and Google Play.
