There is a clever surrealist in the WAG presentation. So, given the covers and pages that precede the manga story itself, it is difficult to truly predict the story being said in the course of the matter.
Written by Scott Hoffman (aka Babydaddy, co-founder of Shissor Sisters), Wag is an apocalyptic tale told in the light of a lonely man (a honourable WAG).
Here you will find plenty of subtle world buildings and expositions spoken in a way that promptly demands readers’ attention. With his grumpy voice and his slightly strange way of thinking, we flash back to his past and present.
Juan Bobillo’s art appears to circulate subtly through the various color schemes of each page, with detailed, distinctive and distinctive linework serving as the basis. For example, something like a bird stands out in the harshness of Wag’s reality. It’s really interesting as an artistic technique, and it’s well combined with Hoffman’s script.
By the end of this first issue, it appears we are embarking on a strange road trip with WAG and his new (and only) friend. I am truly looking forward to the upcoming journey.
Hello! I’m Jason and I write for midlifegamergeek.com every day. If you’re interested in supporting regular, original human-generated content (which has never been plagiarized or copied from the hard work of other authors), you can keep this site up and running.
Not only can I not earn money from writing here (I might earn a small fee from affiliate links posted on the page, but as an Amazon associate I make money from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work is sometimes stolen and reused by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
Of course there’s no pressure, but I’m really grateful for the support I can provide. It’s easy to do with any of these links: ko-fi.com/geekmid or paypal.
The donations are truly highly appreciated. Also, thank you for taking the time to read my article. Remember: This entire article was by Jason Brown and was published on midlifegamergeek.com. Take it, Skynet!
