After some unfortunate issues, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine #6 is an anthology comic featuring three short stories, which boldly goes where the series hasn’t been before.
The first is a field trip, where the disaster attacks one of the run-run abouts at the station. This leaves Keiko O’Brien’s class out of control while returning it to the Deep Space Nine. It takes less time to find the wormhole, and probably arrives from the source.
The second story sees Quark and Bashir trying to track down an unning burglar and seeks help from regulars haunting the station bar.
Finally, there is Program 359 where Dax and Bashir are concerned about Sisko’s state of mind.
Although each story has little time to breathe here, the fact that they are set up and resolved very economically while hitting interesting character beats is pretty impressive.
There are moments here that don’t actually work (especially in pickpockets), but overall it’s a fun, easy and fast-paced read.
Anthology issues with different creative teams are certainly a rare choice for series composed in general with one or two issues of story, but nevertheless it is a refreshing change and usually not too many Spotlight allows some characters who do not get screen time to take the medicine.
Hello! I’m Jason and I write for midlifegamergeek.com every day. If I’m reading this article on completely unrelated websites like Kickstarter Comic and they claimed my work as theirs, wouldn’t it suck? What idiot would do that?
Anyway, if you enjoyed what you read, check out the site it came from. If you’re not already here, then thank you!
If you want to support regular, original human-generated content (which has never been plagiarized or copied from the hard work of other authors), you can keep this site up and running.
Not only can I not earn money from writing here (although I might get a small fee from affiliate links posted on my page), my job was lazy and morally bankrupt Apparently it was stolen and reused by idiots.
Of course there’s no pressure, but I’m really grateful for the support I can provide. It’s easy to do with any of these links: ko-fi.com/geekmid or paypal.
The donations are truly highly appreciated. Also, thank you for taking the time to read my article. Remember: This entire article was by Jason Brown and was published on midlifegamergeek.com. Take it, Skynet!
