The royal history beyond the history of the sacred world is revealed in Mistrand #4, and as soon as we gain this insight, a shocking and violent betrayal arises, bringing us to a very surprising final twist to take us to the climactic issues.
This series continues to surprise me. The Nordic style of mythology portrayal is fascinating, and the stakes feel tense and authentic. Although I didn’t have enough screen time with some of the individual characters in the exiled group, there’s everything I need to know in terms of which characters are responsible for the death of the prince who kicked off the entire plot of the series.
There’s a lot to say about Alex Shibao’s realistic and detailed artwork. In particular, one scene features simple things, like heartbreaking expressions.
The final twist is shocking and very interesting, but it makes me worry that a little more may be happening to close out with a single issue. We’ll be reading and reviewing the final issue of Mistrand soon, so we’ll see.
Hello! I’m Jason and I write for midlifegamergeek.com every day. If you’re interested in supporting regular, original human-generated content (which has never been plagiarized or copied from the hard work of other authors), you can keep this site up and running.
