Dark Horse Comics has announced that Powers will be back to celebrate its 25th anniversary. This new issue 12 series, called Powers 25, marks its 25th anniversary this September. Author Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Avon Orming will be joining the new volume with colorist Nick Firaldi and letter Joshua Reid in the series, “The Chicago version of the Superhuman “Power” event version.”

This new story is the first power to see the world of heroes through the eyes of a special murder officer detective Clutter and her brand new partner, a fun, dangerous adult look, and create Mobius Moon, the Powers division. Under the careful eyes of legendary captains Deena Pilgrim and Enki Sunrise, the new detective passes through a whole new minefield of danger. With the murder of new, unresolved forces, Kutter and Moon question the world and everything in it.

“We’ve seen you get a lot of money,” said Mike Richardson, publisher of Dark Horse. “Brian and Michael’s work on power has been groundbreaking since their debut in 2000. We are excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the new series’ beloved fans.

Originally following murder detective Deena Pilgrim and her senior partner Christian Walker (ex-power), Powers kicked off with image in 2000. I ran OGN with a total of 98 issues in 2020. This marks the first new power material from the publisher.

Powers 25#1 was released on September 11th and comes with covers from Oeming, David Mack, Mike Mignola and David Marquez. Future issues will feature variations by Stan Sakai, Scott Hepburn, Eric Powell and Jill Thompson. In the meantime, you can also check out a variety of exclusive previews of the series.
