It’s not an exaggeration to say that Thundercats comics have been a huge success from Dynamite Entertainment since bringing various one-shots and miniseries almost two years ago. To that end, Dynamite announced that Panro, the team’s brain yet physically formidable mechanic master, would insist on his own one-shot special from writer Ed Brisson and artist Dave Acosta this November.
Details of the full press release below:
The physical yet formidable mechanics of the brain, vehicles, and even the latest armored suits in the cartoon, Panro has long been a fan favorite of Thundercats fandom. For the first time in the Dynamite comic line, he is shining the spotlight on himself just for an extra-sized 28-page story!
In a brief rest from his responsibility, by himself, crossing the boundaries of the cat’s hideout, the powerful Panro suddenly finds himself troubled by a pack of impressive hostile creatures. As a fighting warrior, this should be a fun distraction on paper. But the true scope of danger continues to expand as hunters hunt and massive secrets can spell out the fate of all Thunderruns in the Adopted House of Third Earth!
Ed Brisson (Thundercats Lost, New Mutants, Predator) has the character effortlessly highlighted such gems in his new story within Thundercats’ deep, diverse cast. He joined the artwork of Dave Acosta, known for his inspiring epics by Elvira, the mistress of dark and horror styling. He is perfect for this story of monsters and plots, and is filled with plenty of brawls.
Four great covers are available to fans and collectors to draw an unning warrior and his deadly nunchuck. Acosta handles one, featuring Sebastian Piriz (Space Ghost x Jonny Quest), Robert Quinn and Will Robson.
Panthro also regularly appears in the flagship Thundercats series. This will be issued #22 in November. The comic franchise releases that Brisson’s own Thundercats lost #9 in the same month.
