Apple added two new models to its AirPods family last week. We tested the AirPods 4 and the second version with active noise cancellation (ANC) and have some thoughts on them. Improved sound quality and some advanced features are the main additions, but you’ll also notice a redesigned shape that helps the earbuds fit more securely (and comfortably) in your ears.

With the ANC version, Apple gives you convenient noise cancellation without needing silicone tips while still leaving your ears open. There are plenty of Pro features, too, but the problem is that the more technically superior AirPods Pro frequently go on sale for less than the $179 earbuds.
We didn’t expect this, but with a base price of $129, the AirPods 4 might be the better deal.

The ban on media outlets like RT is due to come into effect in the coming days.
Meta banned RT and other Russian state media on its platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. “After careful consideration, we have expanded our ongoing crackdown on Russian state media,” the company told Engadget. “Russia Segodnya, RT and other associated entities are now banned from our apps globally for alleged foreign interference.” This comes days after the Biden-Harris administration publicly accused RT of spreading propaganda and disinformation online.
