Ordained reveals the mafia don’t’s criminal life

Bad Idea has announced the ordination of a new series, a crime sight already adapted to the film by John Wick author Derek Kolstado. Debuting this fall, Ordained was written by Robert Venditti, painted by Trevor Hairsine, and by Dave Stewart. The beat can reveal the first expanded look of issue 1, similar to variant covers.

Here’s the outline of the series:

Father Royston Craig became a priest later in his life, but he is determined to make up for the lost time. In addition to his regular duties at St. Louis Church, he also performs final ritual prayers to patients on his deathbed at a nearby hospital.

One day he is called to give these sacraments to Cormack Byrne. Byrne, like many others, turned to God at the end. He hasn’t been to church in decades. Father Roy wants to hear his confession, but what begins as a minor crime for a lifetime will soon become a horrifying sequence of gangland violence and murder. Cormack Byrne is not a normal person. He is actually the head of the Irish mafia. God will provide forgiveness to all who truly repent, Father Roy will exempt him from the deadly sin bahn, die in peace, and complete his work…

…Until the next morning. When Byrne makes a miraculous medical recovery. Not the door to death anymore, Byrne quickly returns to his old ways. It’s business as usual and he has a loose end to tie it down. First of all: kill the priest who knows where all the bodies are buried.

But Father Roy’s collar is not necessarily white, and Byrne intends to learn the difficult way that Father Royston Craig was former Navy sealer, Chief Royston Craig, who once found his faith in the midst of battle. Now, Father Roy must face a vicious gang, a corrupt policeman, and his own inner demons in order for him to survive. And he is forced to harness his violent skill set, and although he thought he would never enjoy it again, what Father Roy doesn’t do… kill him.

It will soon become a major film starring A-list Oscar nominees.

In addition to the main cover art of Jorge Fornés, the first three issues of Orided also feature variant covers by Charlie Adlard. Please check below.

Ordained #1 will be available on November 5th at your local comic shop.
